Our Story: A Vision for a Different Kind of Care
From Systems to Stories
For two decades, our founders have worked within the complex worlds of mental health, trauma-recovery, and the NDIS. While the systems are designed to help, more often than not the person would get lost in the paperwork. Families families felt like a number and participants felt like a set of symptoms to be managed.
Shield of Care was born from a simple, shared conviction: There had to be a better way.
A decision was made to build a "Care Ecosystem" where clinical wisdom meets genuine, old-fashioned connection. A place where relationships aren't outsourced, and where care feels like coming home.
Grounded in Wisdom, Led by Grace
Our foundations are built on more than just professional experience. Our Director, Barry Morris, brings twenty years of insight as a Psychologist and leadership coach into the heart of our operations.
At the same time, at Shield of Care, we believe that "expert" knowledge is only effective when it is delivered with humility. Our approach is inspired by Christian values—grace, kindness, and service. We aim to reflect the way of Jesus by walking alongside the vulnerable, advocating for the unseen, and treating every individual as a masterpiece.

The Wings of the Eagle
The Eagle in our identity symbolizes a promise of renewal and perspective. Life’s challenges can often feel like a heavy storm, but the eagle is known for using the winds of a storm to soar higher.
